Start up Challenges and Triumphs
Being an innovative startup in an enterprise space is a proud accomplishment, and Bluebox is a pioneer in the mobile security space. However, in enterprise technologies, the company typically has to cater directly to a single customers needs, and at times the personas don’t always align. We started building our 1.0 product with a vision that included too many different personas. We lacked focus and it became increasingly difficult to satisfy each customer’s needs. This ultimately affected the teams understanding of who our customer truly was, especially remote teammates who weren't always catching all the in-house memos. Communication got lost and the remote teams were still building for an old persona.
Bluebox focused and found their niche. We started fresh and rebuilt from the ground up, realigned, and balanced customers' expectations with business needs. Having a clear vision helped us to streamline our design process.
Working with a predominantly remote team proved to be challenging. However with clear, concise, and frequent communication, we persevered and were able to ship a product and continually improve it.
Ship. Ship. Ship.
